Philosophy

At the Montessori Academies of Michigan, we believe that learning is a lifelong adventure. We develop the confidence in children to face each day with their minds open to knowledge and their hearts open to love. We encourage children to experience the freedom to wonder, ask, explore, imagine, and create. Our academies provide children with a supportive learning experience that enables them to achieve academic success and become well-balanced individuals.

In keeping with the Montessori Method, we help children develop into individuals who are capable, self-reliant, and have a strong sense of self. Following our mission, we hope to give our students the ability to connect with others to become productive individuals throughout their lives. Our school and classroom environments are developmentally appropriate, well-prepared, positive, and warm. We welcome each child to engage in building skills of independence, concentration, order, and coordination. Through hands-on, self-directed, and collaborative play, children learn skills in practical life, sensorial, language, math, science, geography, fine motor development, art, music, and more while making creative choices in their learning under the guidance of our highly trained teachers.
